Dr. Joe Hage is a results-oriented digital transformation executive with extensive experience in organizational leadership, information technology, business operations, and management consulting. He has a global acumen having worked with private and publicly traded companies, educational institutions, governments, and NGOs across the globe. He has a proven record in successfully starting up and scaling organizations, establishing offshore operations, raising capital, attracting talented individuals, and building success-driven teams. As a dynamic leader, Dr. Hage can identify opportunities to automate and improve processes, enable systems to meet business needs, and improve bottom-line results. He has held positions in executive leadership, digital transformation, software development, project management, product management, business development, consulting, sales, and marketing. Dr. Hage has achieved positive results in implementing digital transformation and enterprise solutions to contain costs while increasing stakeholder satisfaction, simplifying processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring economies of scale.
Dr. Hage is a digital transformation consultant with UNESCO and UNICEF leading digital transformation projects in Iraq’s education sector. As a UNDP expert at the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform, he led the development of the Digital Transformation Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Government of Lebanon. With the World Bank Group, he has been contributing to various digital transformation initiatives in Africa and Asia. He headed the strategy development for digital transformation in higher education in Tunisia. He provided technical assistance to governments and universities on digital transformation in Kenya, Nigeria, Gambia, Zambia, Ethiopia, and the Philippines. Previously, Dr. Hage was Chief Executive Officer at MoneyCam Corporation, where he built a video capture and sharing solution using the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain technologies. He also held the position of Associate Chief Information Officer at the American University of Beirut (AUB), a leading provider of education and healthcare services in the Middle East, where he led major digital transformation projects for academic and administrative services. Before AUB, he was chief executive officer of eSharing, an information technology products and solutions company, providing customers with enterprise and mobile application solutions.
For 15 years, Dr. Hage worked in Silicon Valley where he was a venture partner specializing in the software sector at PacRim Venture Partners, a private venture capital fund in Silicon Valley. He spent nine years at Agile Software (acquired by Oracle) where he led the Small and Medium Enterprise Solutions Division as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Before assuming this role, he was Senior Vice President of Products and Technology and Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Agile’s business focused on product lifecycle management and supply chain management solutions. Before Agile, Dr. Hage worked at Starfish Software (acquired by Motorola) where he led the team that developed Java-based enterprise applications for collaboration, scheduling, and directory services (acquired by Yahoo!). Previously, he held positions at Novell, Borland, Prime Computer, Data General, and Honeywell in the Middle East and North America.
